I recently found to have trouble with ezmlm-archive while archiving emails
from Yahoo Groups
(after using yahoo2mbox-0.25.pl and some other trickery) :
Message was :
> Old format or corrupted index. Run ezmlm-idx! (#5.3.0)
It always happened on similar lines of the same indexes.
this one was valid :
> 12: nigndcggknndaohnnhpc AAA
> 9 Sep 1999 20:01:06 -0000;ndjacphkfldlldkmglai BBB
but this one was failing (found by strac'ing)
> 13: bffikoegbfkopjbigpba CCC
> by qk; 13 Sep 1999 21:51:50 -0000;gejcgihhokjofdhalfoj DDD
Obviously this " by qk;"** is the culprit.
Digging further, I found this kind of lines in the original emails :
> Received: (listserv 1.262); by qk; 30 Sep 1999 21:26:11 -0000
> Received: (listserv 1.276); by a1; 05 Nov 1999 19:06:18 -0000
These were emails typically received by Yahoo! during the 1999/2000 period.
My guess is that listserv was buggy at that time and not conforming to the

So if someone more knowledgeable is sure about the opposite, then ezmlm-idx
try to be smarter in parsing this header field. Otherwise I hope this email
someone facing the same issue, especially since more people will want to
run away from
Yahoo groups these days.
