Right... Maybe the system could do a double check: if .qmail-default
exists AND $HOME/passwd.cdb file exists -> do a cvm-vmailmgr lookup too
(and/or like somebody else suggested, check if there is vdeliver in the
.qmail-default file, but that's probably more complex/slower).

domain: example.com is listed in /var/qmail/control/smtproutes
                       (and rcpthosts, but not virtualdomains)

Without CVM Check:

$ telnet omega 25
220 omega mailfront ESMTP
ehlo
250-omega
250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN
250-SIZE 0
250-8BITMIME
250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
250 PIPELINING
mail from: ####@####.####
250 2.1.0 Sender accepted.
rcpt to: ####@####.####
250 2.1.5 Recipient accepted.
quit
221 2.0.0 Good bye.
Connection closed by foreign host.

With Vmailmgr CVM lookup active (other ip on the same server):

$ telnet omega 25
220 omega mailfront ESMTP
ehlo
250-omega
250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN
250-SIZE 0
250-8BITMIME
250-ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES
250 PIPELINING
mail from: ####@####.####
250 2.1.0 Sender accepted.
rcpt to: ####@####.####
553 5.1.1 Sorry, that recipient does not exist.
quit
221 2.0.0 Good bye.
Connection closed by foreign host.

My goal would be to be able to use the smtproutes stuff even if the
address lookup check is active...

regards,
Olivier
